Autograph letters signed from Thomas Dunham Whitaker, Holme and Heysham, to Mr. Robinson, Leeds and London [manuscript], 1814-1815.

Letters deal with Whitaker's work on history of Leeds and publishing issues which appear to relate to his additions to the second edition of Thoresby's Ducatus leodiensis and to his Loidis and Elmete, both published in 1816. (1) refers to drawings and papers received from a Mr. Roberson. (2) requests the loan of the Monasticon Anglicanum, Steevens' Monasticon and Madox's Formulare Anglicanum, which will greatly facilitate his progress. (3) mentions the original account of the murder of the Calverleys, unknown to the editors of Shakespeare. (4) mentions sending the last of his additions to Thoresby's work. (5) concerns accounts of additional parishes.
